Liberal activist and actor Danny Glover made the claim that the recent earthquake in Haiti was caused by global warming and climate change.
“When we see what we did at the climate summit in Copenhagen, this is the response, this is what happens, you know what I’m sayin’?”
Occasionally, in attempting to say something intelligent, they reveal just how much the misunderstand the causes they say they support. Glover’s blaming of earthquakes on global warming is just such an occasion. Plate tectonics have been happening for billions of years, far beyond man’s influence upon the world’s weather, if there is such a thing.
The earthquake in Haiti, Mt Pinatubo, Mt Saint Helens, etc, are such random acts in nature that occur despite what is happening outside.
To make Glover’s comments even sillier is that fact that it is WINTER, and a very cold one this year.
Don’t forgive Leonardo DiCaprio for making similar, idiotic statements about attempting to tie global warming to plate tectonics. From http://news.softpedia.com/news/Leonardo-DiCaprio-About-Global-Warming-11225.shtml
“Leonardo DiCaprio appeared yesterday at Oprah’s chat show and warned Americans about the dangers of global warming. He said that the last year’s hurricanes and TSUNAMIS are just a terrifying forewarning of what is to come”
You have to laugh at these liberal celebrities. They can’t be helped. So, just laugh at them.

Just reposting what I had written on an article on Digg dealing with Dr Pachauri, the Chairman of the IPCC. Someone had made a point that Dr. Pachauri was just being setup as the bad guy to take a fall by larger corporations. My comment to him below:
The thing I can’t seem to get my mind off of is the fact that Dr Pachauri is the Chair of the IPCC!! The IPCC is the foundation that gives the UN the results of the climate data that they have wrongly (or falsely) interpreted. The UN takes that fake data, and then is now attempting to use it to tax the ENTIRE WORLD!! A tax on the world based on a complete and fabricated lie, directed and orchestrated by Dr Pachauri.
If the UN is successful in taxing the ENTIRE WORLD, what will the UN do with that tax money? People will say that taxes will be an incentive for corporations to clean up their emissions. But, what will the UN do with the tax money? I can almost guarantee it won’t be used to plant trees. Who does that tax money go to? Which bank gets it?
If money was the concern, why not just take a bunch of balloons, $250 million, and pump sulfur dioxide out from balloons? (Source: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/2511875/n … This idea was presented to Gore who just laughed at it and called it insane and stupid. Why? No money for Al Gore.
You say it is large corporations that are looking for a bad guy. Do you think the UN is any better (or worse) than a mega sized corporation? They are both looking for power and money and are using their influence to separate your money from your wallet. At least with large corporations, I can choose not to use their products. With the UN, if they get their way, you WONT HAVE A CHOICE!
I nearly hate Alex Jones. A conspiracy theorist’s fool and savior. But, every time the UN gets together and starts to hammer out taxing the world, it just makes me think AJ just might have a point.

My daughter has become the target of a local school bully. Crying, she came up to me for advice. Now, I’m a guy and we had our own ways to taking care of bullies at school we were young. After a few months, or even years of being bullied, we’d just walk up the bully and clock him out with an ambush like punch and continue to pummel him until he gave up. There might be a few skirmishes past that point, but usually the end, the bully would move off to softer targets.
My advice, and I’m not sure which is the best, is to just confront the girl and ask her why she said what she did, warn her not to say it again, and the next time there would be no warning. Just a quick ambush punch to the face and a continuation until the bully gives up.
Now, one huge caveat. This will probably take place in school. Now, I wish more than anything to be wrong, but here’s how the school administration will address the incident. The bully will walk free, and my daughter will end up paying a price for taking care of the bully. This is how schools haved addressed bullying. Schools only punish those children who feel they have no choice but to address bullies with violence as a last resort. Teachers will never address the bullies themselves. More than the wrath of the parents of the bullied, they fear the wrath of the parents of the bullies themselves.
I could contact the parents of the bully myself. But, you know how children and their parents are. The bully will say “letting your parents fight your battles?”. Or even worse from the parents themselves “My child would never bully another. He/She’s just a darling, sweet, little angel”. Right…. This actually happened with some white trash parents down the street. My daughter approached the parents of a former bully, and stated her case. To which the parent replied “Oh, just ignore him”. What? Well, my daughter did eventually do the right thing, and picked up a huge rock and chucked it towards his head. It missed, but the point was made. “This target is too tough”.
So, I hope I’m giving the best advice. As I told my daughter “What’s worse, a day’s worth of suspension, or a whole school year of being bullied“. I think the answer is quite easy.

A Chicago Tribune reporter makes a claim that the recreated V series strikes at Obamamania:
magine this. At a time of political turmoil, a charismatic, telegenic new leader arrives virtually out of nowhere. He offers a message of hope and reconciliation based on compromise and promises to marshal technology for a better future that will include universal health care.
The news media swoons in admiration — one simpering anchorman even shouts at a reporter who asks a tough question: “Why don’t you show some respect?!” The public is likewise smitten, except for a few nut cases who circulate batty rumors on the Internet about the leader’s origins and intentions. The leader, undismayed, offers assurances that are soothing, if also just a tiny bit condescending: “Embracing change is never easy.”
So, does that sound like anyone you know?\
This series is actually a remake of the series shown originally back in the 70’s. I’ve made references in the past to the original V and the current doings of the Obama administration, such as “America Serves”. But, I’ll elaborate a little further down in this post
The right and left are both making the claim this is a strike out against Obama. I actually disagree with them. This is nothing more than the remake of a great sci-fi series and hopefully better than the first. But, I will admit, the are some very peculiar similarities between the promises of hope and change uttered by the aliens and those of Obama. While I believe they are pure coincidences, they do share the same similarity. And since this show has been in production well before the elections, I don’t believe for a bit this was against Obama.
Now, back to America serves. I have to admit, when Obama created the America serves web site, I immediately thought of the original series V, which called on people to serve the aliens. In parts of the series, if I recall correctly, people in the service of aliens were actually turning in neighbors and their own familiy members. I’m not implying that people in the service of America will turn in others. Obama has already try to do that with the flag@whitehouse.gov.

United States President has been selected as the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize winner.
OSLO (AP) - President Barack Obama won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize on Friday for “his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples,” the Norwegian Nobel Committee said, citing his outreach to the Muslim world and attempts to curb nuclear proliferation.
But really, what he done? Well, I’d say absolutely nothing but engage us further into a possible war with Iran over Iran’s nuclear weapons development. Even Barack acknowledges he’s done nothing really to deserve this:
Let me be clear, I do not view it as a recognition of my own accomplishments.
And I know that throughout history the Nobel Peace prize has not been used just to honor specific achievement, it’s also been used as a means to give momentum to a set of causes.
If you have read Nobel’s will about who is eligible for this prize, you will see Obama is far less deserving that what Nobel had intentioned:
“to the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses”
Note that it says “shall have done”, not “what one is able to promise to do” as Obama has stated in his acceptance speech.
Even more shocking is the list of those who were passed over for the selection of Obama. Each of the persons passed over were truly deserving of the NPP, whose real accomplishments are far more deserving of respect than those who promise hope to the world and has yet to deliver:
Sima Samar, women’s rights activist in Afghanistan: “With dogged persistence and at great personal risk, she kept her schools and clinics open in Afghanistan even during the most repressive days of the Taliban regime, whose laws prohibited the education of girls past the age of eight. When the Taliban fell, Samar returned to Kabul and accepted the post of Minister for Women’s Affairs.”
Ingrid Betancourt: French-Colombian ex-hostage held for six years.
“Dr. Denis Mukwege: Doctor, founder and head of Panzi Hospital in Bukavu, Democratic Republic of Congo. He has dedicated his life to helping Congolese women and girls who are victims of gang rape and brutal sexual violence.”
Handicap International and Cluster Munition Coalition: “These organizations are recognized for their consistently serious efforts to clean up cluster bombs, also known as land mines. Innocent civilians are regularly killed worldwide because the unseen bombs explode when stepped upon.”
“Hu Jia, a human rights activist and an outspoken critic of the Chinese government, who was sentenced last year to a three-and-a-half-year prison term for ‘inciting subversion of state power.’”
“Wei Jingsheng, who spent 17 years in Chinese prisons for urging reforms of China’s communist system. He now lives in the United States.”
The Nobel Peace Prize committee should be ashamed of itself for further lowering the true value and importance of this award. Instead of selecting those whose real accomplishments have impacted and improved the lives around them, the committee have selected someone whose accomplishments are equal to absolutely nothing but that of a snake oil salesman.

I was listening to a radio show today, and I apologize for not remembering whose show it was. It was on this morning on some AM radio station in mid Michigan. Professor John R Lott was being interviewed on this show and revealed something concerning Obama I think America needs to hear. Professor Lott taught at the same law school Obama taught at and once had a brief encounter with the future president. The conversation was the following:
Lott: “Mr. Obama, I’m John Lott, nice to meet you”
Obama: “You’re that gun guy, aren’t you?”
Lott: “Yes, I am”
Obama: “Well, I don’t think Americans should own any guns”
Lott: “Well, maybe we can discuss this over lunch and come to some conclusions”
Obama: “I don’t think so”
Obama has said in the debates that he will not be taking away anyone’s gun. And to a point, I believe him on this. But, note how he said take away, but intentionally left out being able to purchase guns and/or ammo in the future. This is where he attempt to provide some sort of gun control, by using the same procedures other countries have done to prevent or dissuade people from purchasing guns. He’ll create such insane regulations that customers will not even attempt to go through the many legal hoops that will be put in place for gun purchases.
Thank you, Dr. John R Lott for more insight into the mind of Obama.

His name is David Hendrick and his message was clear:
I, David William Hedrick, a member of the silent majority, decided that I was not going to be silent anymore. So, I let U.S. Congressman Brian Baird have it. I was one questioner out of 38, that was called at random from an audience that started at 3,000 earlier in the evening. Not expecting to be called on, I quickly scratched what I wanted to say on a borrowed piece of paper and with a pen that I borrowed from someone else in the audience minutes before I spoke. So much for the planned talking points of the right wing conspiracy.
Watch and learn from his youtube video.

A Democrat US Representative, Carolyn Maloney, apologized for using the N-word in a interview:
Maloney, who is challenging Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand for the 2010 Democratic Senate nomination in New York, used the full racial slur in an interview with the Web site City Hall while taking aim at Gillibrand’s record.
“I got a call from someone from Puerto Rico, said [Gillibrand] went to Puerto Rico and came out for English-only [education]. And he said, ‘It was like saying n—r to a Puerto Rican,’” Maloney said. “I don’t know-I don’t know if that’s true or not. I just called. I’m just throwing that out. All of her-well, what does she stand for?”
For a party that is supposedly sensitive to issues regarding minorities, they sure have a funny way of showing it. This reminds me of another racists incident just last week by Senator Barbara Boxer towards Harry Alford of the Nation Black Chamber of Commerce, that can be found on this youtube link. Harry Alford responded just the other day:
So when the time came for me and Senator Barbara Boxer to go face to face about this important issue, she did something that I would have never expected. She began getting racial. Utilizing that old Jim Crow tactic of trying to pit my Black group against another – thus destroying ourselves, she went on an embarrassing rant.
First, she wanted me to attack the NAACP. That didn’t work so then she pulled out the 100 Black Men. Still, I didn’t take the bait. Finally, I went on the offensive and blasted her for her condescending manner replete with racial innuendo. I challenged her to argue against the study not wander off talking about any Black organization that came to her mind.
This really shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. Let us remember the political game that brought her into prominence. She is the mastermind behind the “Anita Hill attack Clarence Thomas scenario”. Remember that, it pitted a Black female against a Black male and distracted us from the main issue – his legal talents. This modus operandi (M.O.) also appeared in the 2004 election in Ohio when she went after another Black male, Secretary of State Ken Blackwell using the late Stephanie Tubbs Jones to do the fighting. Let us not forget that totally degrading attack on the Honorable Condoleezza Rice. The personal and heartless smears she put on her own constituents were less than moral. Yes, when it comes to Black folks Senator Barbara Boxer turns into a monster. So it is an easy question: Why did Senator Barbara Boxer go racial? That is what racists do.
And just the other day, I was reminded of another comment by a Democrat party appointed supreme court judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg:
Frankly I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of.
I’ll post more on this later on today after work.

As a father to two young daughters, I found it appalling that David Letterman joked about the raping of Sarah Palin’s 14 year old daughter. This cannot go unpunished by the right. So, in fairness to what the left do to sponsors of right leaning shows, we’ll boycott his sponsors. The list:

After the amounts our government spent in 2008, the countries debt is $63 trillion dollars, according to USA Today:
USA TODAY used federal data to compute all government liabilities, from Treasury bonds to Medicare to military pensions.
Bottom line: The government took on $6.8 trillion in new obligations in 2008, pushing the total owed to a record $63.8 trillion.
The latest increase raises federal obligations to a record $546,668 per household in 2008, according to the USA TODAY analysis. That’s quadruple what the average U.S. household owes for all mortgages, car loans, credit cards and other debt combined.
“We have a huge implicit mortgage on every household in America — except, unlike a real mortgage, it’s not backed up by a house,” says David Walker, former U.S. comptroller general, the government’s top auditor.
$63 trillion dollars in debt, our bumbling president is looking to increase this even more. This week, we started to see the results of it, in the form of a start of a bond market dislocation, which has resulted in a one day increase of interest rates of 30%. What we are now seeing is a repeat of the start of the great depression on the 1930’s all over again.
How long can this debt be maintained when nearly every household owes more than $500K the rest of the world? We both know this can’t.
For even more information about what has happened over the last week, look here:
The Bond Market has had it with the games, and despite a “good” auction today signaled its disgust with the lies, the unending deficits and both bonds and stocks sold off at the same time:
Guys, this is the start of the bond market dislocation that I have written about for the last two years. It may stop or it may accelerate, but this much is certain - even if it stops here the dream of a 4% mortgage that Bernanke has hawked as the “key” to housing stabilization is not going to happen.
THE GOVERNMENT MUST STOP THE STUPIDITY NOW; WE ARE HEADED FOR A NEAR-EXACT REPEAT OF THE 1930s WHEN FUNDING ESSENTIALLY DISAPPEARS.
And yet our president is just tickled pink over some news that consumer confidence is the best it has been since September. Funny, I remember it being pretty crappy back then too.
